Coach on
Staff
Lost & Found Life Coach is retained for a period of time, usually 3
– 12 months as a Coach on the company staff. This may include
holding group sessions for associates and company leaders to engage
them in learning skills to improve themselves and their contribution
to the organization.
A coach is needed to allow the associates to have a venue to discuss
personal issues in a private setting. This is different from the
Human Resources department where they typically deal with company
related concerns. The issues are kept confidential unless they are
harmful to the company, its associates, its business or themselves.
Any mental health or social related issues would be given to the
appropriate professionals.
Why is this an important staff position? Associates may not want to
call their company sponsored Wellness Line for issues that relate to
family or financial concerns. This creates another avenue for them
to remove all of their daily concerns and set goals for improvement.
It keeps the associates mind clear of distractions and better
focused on their job responsibilities. In addition, it helps the
associates cube mates from dealing with life issues that are not
related to their job or personal responsibility. |
Group
Coaching
A group of people, usually less than 15, with similar interest who
engage in a conversation around one particular topic. The leader
will open up and monitor the discussion but the group moves the pace
and progress forward. Attendees have the unique opportunity to learn
from each other not just the leader.
Typical group coaching sessions may center around balance,
boundaries, career, change or transition, communication, family
dynamics, financial health, leadership, men and women's concerns,
motivation, needs verses wants, parenting, physical wellness,
relationships, stress management, tolerations, team building, and
time management. |
